When it comes to protecting players on the ice, certifications aren’t just stamps of approval – they’re proof that your gear meets the standards demanded by the game’s top organizations. At Titan BattleGear, we’re committed to setting a new bar for safety, and that starts with making sure our gear is certified for play across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and beyond.

This page will always be kept live and up-to-date with the latest on our certification status – so you can trust that what you’re reading reflects the current rules of the game.

Here’s where we stand today:

  • NHL approved – Titan’s pro-level design and materials meet the performance and protection standards required for NHL and are approved for league play. Our gear is already trusted by players across pro, junior, and elite leagues.
  • PWHL approved - As an official partner of the PWHL, Titan is worn by both players and referees in the PWHL.
  • USA Hockey approved – As an official partner of USA Hockey, Titan is fully approved under current USA Hockey regulations, including the new HECC certification requirement effective August 1, 2025. That means every Titan BattleGear cut-resistant baselayer and neck guard meets the safety requirements for organized youth and amateur play nationwide.
  • HECC certifiedTitan BattleGear is certified by the HECC (Hockey Equipment Certification Council), the most advanced U.S. standard for hockey protective gear. HECC is the independent body trusted by USA Hockey, NFHS, and the NCAA to certify the most critical pieces of protective gear. The process goes beyond a simple approval stamp – neck protectors are put through rigorous third-party testing to ensure they meet strict performance standards. Parents should look for HECC logos on hockey equipment – you’ll find it stitched on our products, labels, and on our website.
  • UKCA & CE certified – Titan BattleGear is both UKCA and CE certified, ensuring our products comply with European safety standards for protective sports equipment. Whether it’s league play or recreational hockey, Titan is ready for the European ice.

Certifications matter, but they’re just the beginning. At Titan, we don’t build gear to meet the minimum. We build it to perform under real game conditions and pressure.

As the game evolves, so will we. We’re committed to pushing standards forward and making elite-level protection available to every player, everywhere.
