Yes. All neck protection from Titan BattleGear is HECC certified.

The Hockey Equipment Certification Council (HECC) is the independent organization that certifies hockey equipment for use in USA Hockey, NFHS, and NCAA play. In 2025, HECC launched a new program specifically for neck laceration protectors – a major step forward in raising safety standards across the sport. Beginning in 2025, HECC certified neck protection is required by USA Hockey for all youth players.

Titan BattleGear has successfully completed this process (under ISO 10256-5), and our products now proudly carry the official HECC certification mark. Certification ensures Titan BattleGear neck guard shirts are compliant with stringent performance and manufacturing standards that protect players from serious injury. Testing and validation were conducted through CSA Group, HECC’s approved certification body.

For parents and players, the takeaway is simple: look for the HECC logo. It’s your assurance that the gear has been independently validated for safety - not just claimed.

At Titan, we don’t just aim to pass certifications – we engineer our gear with our own proprietary Titanotex™ fabric and ArcGuard™ collar technology to perform under real game conditions. Now, with HECC certification, families, coaches, and teams can have additional confidence that Titan meets the most advanced safety benchmark in U.S. hockey.

Titan BattleGear is HECC certified, NHL compliant, USA Hockey approved, and CE/UKCA certified – players at every level can compete at their highest level, protected and compliant.
